San Dimas, CA (January 12, 2026) – A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday evening in San Dimas, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The fatal crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on January 9 on San Dimas Ave near East Baseline Rd.
Preliminary findings indicate the bicyclist was crossing San Dimas Ave when a gray pickup truck traveling northbound struck him in the roadway. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and located the victim with critical injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Officials have not released the identity of the bicyclist pending notification of family members.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Authorities have not stated whether speed, lighting conditions, or other factors played a role in the collision.
