San Francisco, CA (March 2, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on westbound I-80 in San Francisco sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries on Sunday, March 1. Emergency units responded around 2:44 p.m. after reports of a collision blocking lanes near a bridge.
Officials said a flatbed truck collided with two other vehicles, including a dark-colored pickup truck and a van. The pickup’s airbags deployed, and the truck was disabled in the left lane. Debris from the crash caused lane blockages while crews worked to clear the scene.
One person was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with minor lacerations and swelling to the left side of the chest. Traffic was slowed for more than an hour while the vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleared.
