What Happens in Rear-End Crashes on Busy Highways Like Hwy 87?
Rear-end crashes on highways often occur when traffic slows suddenly, and drivers are unable to stop in time. These incidents can involve multiple vehicles, especially on busy routes where cars travel at higher speeds and follow closely behind one another.
When a vehicle is struck from behind, the force can push it into nearby cars, creating a chain reaction. This type of crash can lead to injuries even at moderate speeds, depending on the impact and positioning of the vehicles.
Factors such as driver attention, following distance, and traffic flow can influence how these accidents happen. In multi-vehicle situations, damage and injuries may vary widely depending on each vehicle’s role in the crash.
