Santa Clarita, CA (January 8, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in the Agua Dulce area of Santa Clarita left one person dead and another injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. on December 6 in the 8500 block of Sierra Hwy, just south of Anthony Rd. Authorities reported that an Acura sedan and a Toyota RAV4 SUV were involved in the crash. Preliminary details suggest the Acura may have been traveling the wrong way on Sierra Hwy when it struck the SUV head-on.
Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage from the impact. Firefighters from Fire Station 81 responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped in the wreckage. That individual was transported to a local trauma center; their condition remains unknown.
The driver of the Acura sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have not released the identities of those involved as the investigation remains ongoing.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased and wish the injured individual a full recovery.
