How Intersection Crashes Are Reviewed in Los Angeles County
Crashes at busy intersections are often analyzed by reviewing vehicle movements, turn maneuvers, and traffic control devices. Investigators look at whether drivers were following traffic signals, the position of vehicles, and any signs of illegal or unsafe actions.
Damage to vehicles and road debris can provide clues about the point of impact and speed at the time of collision. First responders also document extrications and injuries to understand the force involved.
When public service vehicles, like county trucks, are involved, investigators may examine whether standard safety protocols and road markings were followed. These reviews help explain how serious intersection accidents occur in Los Angeles County.
