Sarasota County, FL (January 7, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched late Tuesday morning to a crash with injuries on South Tamiami Trail near Turn Street in Sarasota County. The incident, which occurred around 11:32 a.m., involved at least three vehicles and led to the closure of two northbound lanes.
According to dispatch audio, the vehicles involved included a red Subaru Forester, a red Ford Escape, and a third vehicle of unknown description. Deputies confirmed that injuries were sustained in the crash, though the number of people injured and the severity of those injuries have not yet been officially released.
First responders arrived on scene to assist victims, assess the damage, and manage traffic. Law enforcement coordinated lane closures and crowd control as medical personnel provided treatment.
