Sarasota, FL (January 20, 2026) – A traffic accident resulting in injuries occurred early Monday afternoon in the 4100 block of Pointe Plaza Blvd, prompting an emergency response from Sarasota County Fire Department Station 22.
The collision was reported at approximately 1:33 p.m. in a commercial area just off Bee Ridge Rd. Upon arrival, first responders located at least one vehicle with damage and individuals in need of medical attention. Emergency personnel treated several people at the scene for varying injuries, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for additional care.
The area experienced temporary traffic disruption as crews worked to stabilize the scene and remove the involved vehicle(s). Pointe Plaza Blvd remained partially restricted until responders completed their operations.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway. Officials have not yet confirmed any contributing factors, and no citations have been announced at this time.
