Sarasota, FL (January 20, 2026) – A traffic collision caused injuries Monday afternoon at the intersection of Beneva Rd and Webber St, leading to a response from Sarasota County Fire Department crews assigned to Station 12.
The accident was reported at approximately 3:09 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles in a busy area of Sarasota. Paramedics were on scene shortly after the crash and provided medical assistance to several individuals suffering from various injuries. Some victims were transported to a local hospital for continued care.
Traffic was slowed in the area as first responders worked to assist those hurt and remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The intersection, which sees regular congestion during midafternoon hours, was cleared after emergency operations concluded.
Officials have not released information regarding what caused the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges or citations have been issued as of now.
