Prairie Township, OH (July 29, 2026) – A serious collision between a Ford Mustang and a FedEx semi tractor-trailer on US 40 at Alton Darby Creek Road in Prairie Township claimed the life of one person.
The collision happened on Tuesday, July 28, and shut down the roadway as emergency units responded and investigated the scene. Investigators said a red 2025 Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on US 40 when a white 2025 Kenworth semi tractor-trailer traveling eastbound turned onto Alton Darby Creek Road in front of the Mustang.
The Mustang struck the semi, causing both vehicles to come to rest in the intersection area. The Mustang driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi driver was taken to Grant Hospital for treatment.
