Clark County, IL (July 16, 2026) – One person died after a truck-tractor semi-trailer and a car collided on Route 1 north of Marshall on Wednesday night, July 15. The vehicles came together near the Clark and Edgar county line.
Emergency units arrived and confirmed the fatality at the scene. The person’s identity had not been released as of Thursday morning.
Route 1 remained closed until approximately 3 a.m. while the roadway was examined and the vehicles were removed.
