Casper, WY (June 28, 2026) – A semitruck was involved in a multi-vehicle collision that claimed the lives of two people on Friday afternoon, June 26, on U.S. Highway 20/26 near Casper. The fatal wreck occurred near milepost 58.5, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Officials said the semitruck and several other vehicles were involved. In addition to the two people who died, multiple others were injured. The highway was closed in both directions while emergency units worked on the roadway, and helicopters were dispatched to assist. The identities of those involved have not yet been released. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, with additional information expected as the review continues.
