Wixom, MI (August 26, 2026) – A semi-truck overturned at about 1:20 p.m. on the southbound Wixom Rd. on-ramp to eastbound I-96, blocking access to the highway on August 25.
The truck was towing a tandem trailer when the accident occurred, according to information released by the City of Wixom. The driver was treated for minor injuries.
Emergency units and road crews worked at the site while efforts were made to remove the overturned truck from the ramp. The on-ramp remained closed during the removal operation.
Both directions of Wixom Rd. were also expected to close briefly to allow crews to manage the work. The closures affected access between Wixom Rd and eastbound I-96.
The cause of the collision had not been released. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under review as more information becomes available.
