Houston, TX (September 7, 2026) – Deputies were dispatched to the area of a serious high-speed accident that left three people seriously injured on the Interstate 10 eastbound frontage road near Federal Road in Houston on Saturday afternoon, September 5.
All three were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive. The crash happened after a Chevy Traverse pulled out from Centerwood Drive onto the frontage road and was struck by a black car traveling east. The black car overturned and came to rest on the side of the freeway.
The collision temporarily closed the frontage road and caused traffic delays along Interstate 10. The roadway was later cleared. Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash, but did not identify which driver was at fault.
