Benton County, MO (July 23, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning, July 21, at the intersection of US 65 and Rte BB in Benton County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 10:25 a.m. A 2020 Jeep was traveling northbound while a 2006 Ford was headed westbound when the Ford failed to yield to oncoming traffic and entered the Jeep’s path. The Jeep struck the driver’s side of the Ford.
The 56-year-old Ford driver from Warsaw was seriously injured and was taken to Bothwell Hospital by emergency units. The 72-year-old Jeep driver, also from Warsaw, was taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and removed from the roadway by a towing service.
Benton County deputies assisted at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
