Isabella County, MI (May 30, 2026) – Several people were hospitalized following a rollover crash in Isabella County on Thursday, according to the Michigan State Police.

The names of the passengers were not released following the accident. Investigators are continuing to gather information about the circumstances that led to the rollover. We are thinking of those hurt and wish them a smooth recovery.
What Factors Can Contribute to a Vehicle Rollover?
Rollover crashes can occur when a driver makes a sudden steering correction or evasive maneuver to avoid another vehicle or roadway hazard. These movements may cause a vehicle to become unstable, particularly when traveling at highway speeds or carrying multiple occupants.
Vans, sport utility vehicles, and other taller vehicles generally have a higher center of gravity than passenger cars. This can make them more susceptible to tipping during sharp turns or abrupt lane changes.
Occupant safety features, including seat belts and properly functioning restraint systems, can help reduce the severity of injuries during an overturn. Road conditions, vehicle speed, traffic patterns, and driver reactions are among the factors often reviewed when determining how a rollover developed.
