Chicago, IL (July 23, 2026) – Several people were injured after a police pursuit that began in Indiana ended in a collision in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood early on Thursday morning.
The Chicago police said the collision happened around 2:38 a.m. in the 2100 block of W 115th St. The pursuit started on I-65 in Northwest Indiana after Lake County deputies began following a stolen black SUV.
The police said the driver continued into Chicago before striking a parked sedan, sending the car onto the lawn of a nearby home. The SUV overturned, and debris from both vehicles spread across the roadway.
A man, a woman, and two children, ages 3 months and 4 years old, were inside the SUV and were injured. The extent of their injuries was not released. Additional details about the people involved were not immediately available. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains active.
