Riverside, CA (July 19, 2026) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on July 17 on eastbound State Route 91 near Tyler Street in Riverside. According to dispatch reports, the chain-reaction involved at least four vehicles, though early callers initially reported as many as five or six.
The roadway was partially blocked after the vehicles came to rest across the HOV and No. 1 lanes, creating significant traffic delays during the morning commute. One vehicle reportedly went off the roadway before landing upright, and at least one person was taken to a hospital for treatment. Tow trucks and emergency units were called to clear the damaged vehicles and reopen the highway.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released, and the full extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
