Hinds County, MS (July 26, 2026) – Several people were hurt on July 24 after a multi-vehicle pileup involving two semi-trucks and six other vehicles on I-20 in Hinds County.
The roadway mishap happened in the westbound lanes near mile marker 19. Reports indicate the chain-reaction involved two 18-wheelers, three pickup trucks, and three passenger vehicles. The number of people injured has not been released, and no identities were immediately made public.
Emergency units worked to clear the roadway while traffic was affected during the cleanup. By around 2:20 p.m., all westbound lanes had reopened after crews finished removing the vehicles.
The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
