Concord, CA (September 7, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision was reported on northbound Interstate 680 just north of Concord Avenue at about 1:22 a.m. on Saturday, September 5.
Initial calls described two to three vehicles involved. One vehicle was later seen facing sideways and blocking slower lanes, while airbags had deployed in a white vehicle.
Emergency units temporarily stopped traffic across all lanes while flares were placed. A later CHP entry classified the accident as involving minor injuries. The crash is still under review.
