How Garage Fires Can Quickly Spread Through a Home
Garage fires can escalate rapidly due to the materials often stored inside. Fuel, tools, vehicles, and household chemicals can intensify flames and create extreme heat in a short time. When a garage is attached to a home, fire can spread into living areas within minutes.
Explosions may occur if pressurized containers or flammable liquids are exposed to high temperatures. These bursts can accelerate fire growth and increase structural damage.
Once flames move beyond the garage, the entire structure may become compromised. Smoke, heat, and water damage can make a home unsafe even after the fire is extinguished. Early detection systems and keeping flammable items secured can help reduce the risk of widespread damage.
