What Factors Can Contribute to ATV Crashes on Roadways?
Evening accidents near 159th Street may reduce visibility for riders. Responders in South Holland may use additional lighting when handling these scenes.
ATVs are designed mainly for off-road use, and operating them on paved surfaces can increase the risk of losing control. Hard barriers, curbs, and fixed objects can also raise the severity of a crash when impact occurs.
Rider balance, speed, and roadway conditions can all affect how an ATV handles. Without the protection provided by standard vehicles, crashes involving these vehicles can result in serious or fatal injuries.
