Springfield, MO (January 30, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision with reported injuries on Thursday afternoon along West Battlefield Road in Springfield, involving a Springfield Police Department unit.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:19 p.m., prompting a response from Springfield Engine Six and other emergency personnel. According to a radio dispatch from the Greene MO Fire-Tac Group, one of the vehicles involved was a marked police unit. Upon arrival, crews discovered one driver trapped inside a vehicle due to the severity of the impact.
Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the individual, who was later transported from the scene for further medical care. The extent of the injuries sustained has not been officially confirmed. The involved officer’s condition has also not been released at this time.
