St. Francois, MO (January 4, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious head-on crash on Friday morning that left two drivers injured on Route K, just west of Primm Dr in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:53 a.m. on January 2. A westbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado reportedly crossed the center line and struck a 2022 Kia K5 head-on. The impact caused extensive front-end damage to both vehicles, rendering them inoperable. Marler’s Towing was called to remove both vehicles from the roadway.
Emergency medical services from St. Francois County Ambulance District arrived quickly and provided on-scene care to the injured drivers. A 28-year-old male from Bonne Terre, driving the Silverado, and a 20-year-old female from St. Louis, operating the Kia, were both transported to Parkland Hospital in Bonne Terre. Both drivers sustained injuries and were not using safety devices at the time of the collision.
Fire crews and medics worked efficiently to treat the injured and clear the roadway, which saw delays due to the positioning of the wreckage.
