St. Lucie County, FL (January 13, 2026) – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Indrio Rd in northern St. Lucie County, according to officials with the St. Lucie County Fire District.

The incident occurred on January 11 around 6:45 p.m. Emergency crews arrived to find a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan, which had overturned due to the impact. First responders provided immediate medical attention before transporting the motorcyclist by ground to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.

Division Chief Daniel Mikels confirmed that the motorcyclist was in critical condition at the time of transport. The condition of the driver of the sedan has not been released.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded initially but later turned the investigation over to the Florida Highway Patrol. As of January 12, FHP had not released additional details regarding the crash or the circumstances that led to the collision.
