Highway Interchange Crashes Can Involve Sudden Traffic Changes
Crashes near highway interchanges often happen where traffic patterns shift quickly. Drivers may need to merge, exit, or change lanes within a short distance.
These areas can create situations where vehicles approach from different directions at varying speeds. A small miscalculation in timing or spacing can lead to a collision.
Road design, signage, and driver awareness all influence how safely traffic moves through interchanges. When multiple vehicles are involved, the impact can be more severe due to speed and positioning.
