Pawtucket, RI (July 7, 2026) – Several people were hurt on Sunday morning, July 5, after a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 South at the Broadway overpass in Pawtucket. The accident was reported just before 5:30 a.m.
One person was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The other two people were also brought in for evaluation after the initial wreck.
The police said two additional crashes happened after the first report. Six more people were brought to a hospital with minor injuries after those later collisions.
The initial report also mentioned people fighting and walking along both sides of Route 95 before troopers arrived. The case remains under review.
