Louisville, KY (August 12, 2026) – An early morning collision on Interstate 71 south near Zorn Avenue prompted an LMPD response, where a man was found injured after an SUV and a semi-truck collided. The collision happened around 5:17 a.m. on Monday, August 10. The man was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment and was expected to survive.
The crash initially blocked all southbound lanes, though crews later opened one lane while the scene was cleared. Traffic returned to normal after the roadway was closed for about two hours. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the injured man.
