What Risks Are Associated With Obstructions Left in Active Road Lanes?
Roadways with limited shoulders near State Route 4 and Old Nunez Road can restrict driver reaction time when hazards are present. Injury accidents in Emanuel County often require safety buffers to protect both responders and drivers.
Objects left in travel lanes, such as trailers or disabled vehicles, can create sudden dangers for approaching traffic. Drivers may not have enough time to stop or change lanes, especially at higher speeds.
These situations can lead to secondary crashes, particularly if a vehicle becomes disabled or debris blocks the driver’s view. Staying alert and maintaining safe distances can help reduce the risk when unexpected obstacles appear on the road.
