Serious Leg Injuries After Motorcycle Crashes
Motorcycle crashes can cause severe leg injuries because riders have limited protection during impact. A rider’s legs may be exposed to the motorcycle, the roadway, or another object during a collision.
Serious leg trauma can involve deep cuts, broken bones, nerve damage, or heavy bleeding. These injuries may require fast medical care to reduce complications and protect long-term movement.
Urban streets can add risks for motorcycle riders because of intersections, parked vehicles, turning traffic, and changing lane patterns. After a crash, emergency units may check for head injuries, road rash, internal trauma, and other injuries that may not be obvious right away.
