Tacoma, WA (May 11, 2026) – One person was taken to the hospital Monday morning after a vehicle collided with a school bus in Tacoma, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
Officials said the crash occurred around 7:25 a.m. near 5600 South Oakes Street. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found a passenger vehicle involved in a collision with a school bus carrying several children.
Police said the at-fault driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that five or six children were aboard the school bus at the time of the crash, but none of the students were injured. The bus driver also escaped injury.
