Springfield, OH (June 30, 2026) – A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a crash early on Sunday morning, June 28, in the 1200 block of West Columbia Street in Springfield.
According to the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:50 a.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a vehicle that had caught fire, with a person reportedly trapped inside.
When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old driver outside the burning vehicle and lying on the ground. The teen was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Authorities have not released the driver’s identity, and no information about any other vehicles or possible occupants was immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department.
