Summerfield Township, MI (June 27, 2026) – A 16-year-old boy was killed, and two other teens were injured after a utility task vehicle crash in Summerfield Township on Friday evening, June 25. The incident occurred in a private field in the 19700 block of Taft Road and was reported at 5:24 p.m.
According to emergency units, the teenager was driving a 2021 Polaris Ranger with two juvenile passengers inside. While traveling around a curve in the field, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The utility vehicle overturned as he attempted to correct its direction. All three occupants were ejected from the Polaris during the crash.
The 16-year-old driver died at the scene from his injuries. The two passengers were treated at the location and later taken to a hospital by their parents as a precaution. Their current conditions have not been released.
