Ray County, MO (September 12, 2026) – Three people were hurt in an accident on Thursday night on Missouri Route 210 near Route T in Ray County. The accident occurred around 9:11 p.m. on September 10.

A 33-year-old Odessa man driving a 2003 Honda Accord failed to stop at a stop sign. A 2003 Cadillac Escalade then struck the driver’s side of the Honda.

The Honda driver suffered minor injuries, and a 29-year-old passenger from Liberty sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. The 46-year-old Carrollton woman driving the Cadillac also suffered moderate injuries and was taken to North Kansas City Hospital. None of the three occupants were wearing safety devices except the Cadillac driver. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.

We wish all three injured people a full recovery.

How Can Drivers Stay Safe at Stop-Sign Intersections?

Drivers should come to a complete stop at posted stop signs and check carefully for approaching traffic before proceeding. A full stop provides more time to identify vehicles traveling along the intersecting roadway.

Motorists should look in both directions and remain alert for vehicles that may be difficult to see because of darkness, curves, or roadside obstructions. Rushing through an intersection can leave little time to react.

Seat belts also provide important protection in a collision. Drivers and passengers should buckle up before every trip, no matter how short the journey.

1Seek treatment promptly after being injured in an accident. Your first priority should always be your health. Many providers offer treatment on a lien basis, meaning you can get the care you need now and pay later when your claim is resolved.
2Before speaking with an insurance company, make sure you have the facts. An official police report is the most reliable record of what happened and can help establish liability An experienced attorney can assist you in obtaining this report and using it to protect your interests.
3Consider having your case reviewed by a qualified attorney who can guide you through the next steps. They will safeguard your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve.
