Piedmont, MO (July 20, 2026) – Three people were hurt after a head-on crash on Highway 34 about six miles east of Piedmont on Saturday, July 18. The crash happened at about 1:25 p.m. in Wayne County.
A 2008 Pontiac G6 traveling westbound crossed the center of the roadway and struck an eastbound 2014 Ford Fusion head-on. Both vehicles suffered total damage and were towed from the scene. The 28-year-old Pontiac driver and the 30-year-old Ford driver were both taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
A 35-year-old female passenger in the Ford was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. All three people were wearing safety devices. The incident remains under review by authorities.
