St. Charles, MO (July 20, 2026) – Officials reported that a woman was seriously hurt after a chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles on Interstate 70 West East of Route A on Saturday, July 18. The crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. in St. Charles County.
According to the report, traffic had slowed when a 2024 Dodge Ram struck the rear of a 2015 Ford Fusion. The impact pushed the Ford Fusion into a 2017 Dodge Ram, which then struck a 2014 Ford Escape. The Ford Escape later struck a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. The Ford Fusion traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit the center median.
The Ford Escape went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail, while the Dodge Ram that started the crash overturned. The 34-year-old Ford Fusion driver from Moscow Mills was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries. All vehicles except the Chevrolet Camaro were towed from the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the crash, and additional details will be released as they become available. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
