Pleasanton, CA (July 16, 2026) – A three-vehicle collision was reported on Wednesday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 580 just west of the Santa Rita Road off-ramp in Pleasanton.
According to dispatch information, the collision was reported at approximately 12:41 p.m. and involved a gray Honda Fit, a gold Kia sedan, and a white Chevrolet pickup truck. All three vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder, and several passing motorists stopped to assist before emergency units arrived.
Later updates indicated that the Honda Fit sustained major front-end damage, while the Chevrolet pickup required a flatbed tow due to an unspecified mechanical problem. Two tow trucks were requested to remove the disabled vehicles from the freeway. No ambulance was requested, and no injuries were confirmed in the dispatch information. The identities of those involved have not been released.
