What Happens After Serious Two-Vehicle Crashes at Intersections
Crashes at intersections can result in significant damage when vehicles collide from different directions. These impacts often occur at angles that affect the front or side of a vehicle, depending on how the crash unfolds.
After a serious collision, road closures are sometimes necessary to allow emergency crews to assist those involved and remove damaged vehicles. This can also help preserve the scene for further review.
In some cases, air transport may be used when injuries are severe or when faster access to advanced medical care is needed. This type of response can help reduce the time it takes for injured individuals to reach a hospital.
Vehicle damage, roadway layout, and traffic flow are often reviewed to better understand how these types of crashes occur.
