How Left-Turn Collisions Occur at Intersections
Crashes involving left turns can happen when a vehicle enters the path of oncoming traffic. These situations often depend on timing, visibility, and speed.
Oncoming vehicles may not have enough time to slow down or avoid a collision once a turn is initiated. This can have serious consequences, especially when larger vehicles are involved.
Investigators typically review vehicle positions, right-of-way, and roadway conditions to determine how the crash occurred.
