Topeka, KS (January 12, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured following a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision near S Kansas Ave, just north of a McDonald’s location, according to local dispatch reports.
The incident occurred shortly after 12:00 p.m., prompting a response from Topeka Police, Fire Department units, and American Medical Response (AMR). Responding officers arrived at the scene near 25th St and S Kansas Ave, where they made contact with the injured pedestrian.
The victim, who told officers they had been struck by a blue truck, complained of neck and back pain as medical personnel assessed their condition. Fire and EMS crews provided care on-site and prepared for potential hospital transport.
