Pedestrian Crashes and DUI Concerns in Tucson
Pedestrian collisions often lead to severe injuries because people on foot have no protection from impact. When a vehicle strikes a pedestrian, the force can cause serious trauma, especially along busy corridors like Palo Verde Rd and Irvington Rd.
Driving under the influence remains a major factor in many serious crashes nationwide. Impaired drivers may have slower reaction times and reduced awareness of people crossing or walking near roadways.
In urban areas, intersections and multi-lane roads can increase the risk of pedestrian accidents. Clear visibility, reduced speeds, and attentive driving are key factors in lowering the number of serious pedestrian injuries reported each month.
