Warren County, MO (August 25, 2026) – Two 19-year-olds were injured on Sunday afternoon, August 23, in a four-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 201.4. The collision occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m.
According to the crash report, traffic ahead began slowing to a stop in the left lane. A Jeep Patriot and a Chevrolet Equinox stopped, but a Dodge Dakota was unable to stop and struck the rear of the Equinox.
The impact pushed the Equinox into the Jeep. A Hyundai Sonata traveling behind the Dakota was also unable to stop and struck the pickup’s rear.
A 19-year-old man driving the Equinox and his 19-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake Saint Louis.
Authorities continue reviewing the crash. We hope both injured occupants receive attentive care and recover steadily.
