Kings County, CA (June 7, 2026) – Two people lost their lives on Friday afternoon after a head-on collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on State Route 43 south of Lansing Avenue in Kings County.
According to reports, the rider and passenger of a 2017 Harley Davidson were traveling northbound at about 4:45 p.m. on Friday, June 5. At the same time, the driver of a 2014 Ram 1500 was heading southbound and attempted to pass a semi-truck by moving into the northbound lane. The pickup then struck the motorcycle.
Emergency units found the pickup driver trapped inside the truck with moderate injuries. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to the hospital and later died from injuries received in the accident.
