Neosho, MO (July 11, 2026) – A head-on crash on MO-NN near Iris Road in Newton County injured two drivers. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 9.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox traveling north on MO-NN crossed into the southbound lane while making a turn onto Iris Road. The vehicle was struck head-on by a southbound 2020 Jeep Gladiator.
The Equinox driver, a 27-year-old woman from Seneca, suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Joplin. The Jeep driver, a 58-year-old man from Neosho, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman West.
Both vehicles were totaled and removed from the scene. Officials continue to investigate the incident, and our thoughts remain with those injured during their recovery.
