Anchorage, AK (July 11, 2026) – Two drivers were killed, and a teen passenger suffered life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday morning, July 9, on Glenn Highway near the Anchorage weigh station. The crash happened in the southbound lanes near the South curves shortly after 8 a.m. during rainy conditions.
Emergency units found that a Ford F-150 crossed the median from the northbound lanes and struck three vehicles traveling southbound. The truck hit a GMC Acadia, a Ford Explorer, and a Kia Soul.
The F-150 driver, 73-year-old Robert Twito, died in the crash. The Kia Soul driver, 37-year-old Donna Reisinger, also died, while a teen passenger in the Kia suffered life-threatening injuries. The other drivers involved were not hurt. The highway remained closed for several hours and was fully reopened after 4:30 p.m.
