Finlayson Twp, MN (July 14, 2026) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early on Monday, July 13, on northbound Interstate 35 near Milepost 200 in Finlayson Township, Pine County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a northbound 1999 Toyota RAV4 entered the center ditch and rolled while returning from the median before coming to a stop in the right lane. A northbound 1996 Honda VT1100 motorcycle traveling in the right lane then struck the Toyota at about 1:06 a.m.
The Toyota driver, Cricket Lynn Harten, 55, of Duluth, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Essentia Sandstone. The motorcycle rider, Garrett Louis Lempia, 26, of Moose Lake, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries but did not require transportation to a medical facility. Alcohol was not suspected as a factor, and the roadway was reported to be dry.
