Georgetown, TX (July 14, 2026) – A deadly roadway incident shut down part of Williams Drive in Georgetown on Sunday after a fatal wreck at the intersection with Woodlake.
The call came in at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, with the eastbound lanes of Williams Drive closed at Woodlake while crews worked on the roadway. By 12:42 p.m., the fatal outcome had been confirmed, prompting additional traffic restrictions. Eastbound vehicles were diverted at Woodlake, while westbound traffic was rerouted at Cedar Lake Boulevard.
No identities or information about the people involved had been released at the time of publication. The reason the wreck occurred has not yet been disclosed.
