Johnston County, NC (July 17, 2026) – Two people were injured in a head-on crash on Wednesday afternoon, July 15, on NC-210 near Lassiter Road in Johnston County.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 4:30 p.m. when a pickup truck traveling on NC-210 crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming sedan head-on.
The driver of the sedan suffered critical injuries and was taken to WakeMed Main for treatment. The pickup truck driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to WakeMed Garner. Authorities said charges are pending against the pickup truck driver.
Troopers completed their investigation at the scene and reopened the roadway before 6 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
