Lucerne Valley, CA (August 26, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a head-on collision involving a BMW and a semi-truck on SR-18 near Meridian Rd. The crash was reported around 10:43 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26.
According to the California Highway Patrol log, the semi overturned and blocked the southbound lanes. The truck’s cab and trailers flipped, while debris and spilled materials covered portions of the roadway.
The BMW driver was freed from the vehicle and later flown to an unknown hospital. The semi-truck driver was also being prepared for air transport, though the hospital destination was not listed.
Both lanes were closed for an unknown period while the vehicles and debris were cleared. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, and we hope everyone hurt makes a full recovery.
