Pleasant Hill, MO (August 29, 2026) – Two people were injured on Thursday afternoon when a Dodge Power Ram rear-ended a Honda Civic on southbound MO-291 in Cass County. The accident happened around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, August 27, north of MO-58.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the Civic had stopped because of traffic congestion. The Power Ram then struck the rear of the Civic.
The Civic’s 59-year-old driver and a 72-year-old passenger, both from Pleasant Hill, were listed with minor injuries. Both were taken to Belton Regional Hospital for treatment.
The Honda sustained total damage and was towed, while the Dodge had minor damage and was driven away. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under review.
