La Mesa, CA (August 28, 2026) – At least one person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, August 26 along westbound State Route 94 near Bancroft Drive in La Mesa.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident log, the collision was reported at approximately 7:49 a.m. The crash involved a gray Toyota Prius and a second gray sedan. Both vehicles were reported to have sustained significant damage, and airbags were deployed.
The collision blocked the right and slow lanes of westbound SR-94 as emergency personnel responded. CHP officers later confirmed that two vehicles were involved and that the injuries were considered minor.
Fire personnel remained involved at the scene, and two tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles. The incident was initially classified as a collision with injuries requiring an emergency response before CHP updated it to a minor-injury crash.
